Ellie delivered 8 healthy pups Tuesday, June 23. Her labor started around 11:30 pm on Monday and our first sweet boy was born about an hour later. Then came another boy and another and you guessed it 4 more after that. At about 6 am the prettiest girl with a golden coat was born. They have been eating non-stop and Mama Ellie is amazing and so attentive to her sweet babies. Did you know that as each pup is born, mom cleans them and learns their distinct scent from that moment? As the babies near a week old, mom is more comfortable with the family giving puppy snuggles and boy do we love the puppy breath. Each week brings so many physical changes but also the unique personalities of each puppy really starts to show...
